Opportunities to Serve--We could always use a little help around City of Peace. If you are looking for a way to plug into City of Peace and want to help out, please consider helping in the following ways.
· Sunday Morning Set-up—If you would like to come a bit early, we could use a couple helping hands to tidy-up, set up chairs and do anything else that needs to be done before the service.
· Sunday Morning Greeting—We could use a couple people to come early to greet and talk to new comers.
· Sunday Morning Coffee Rota—If you are not on the rota for helping out with teas and coffees and would like to be, please let us know.
· Writing Monthly E-newsletter (what you are reading)—If you haven’t heard, Ashley and I will be leaving on July 31st for Florida where I’ll be working at a church as an assistant pastor. I need someone to replace me to write this monthly update.
· Updating the Church Blog—We could also use a person to update this new blog. It would be helpful if they could be responsible in taking some pictures at our bigger events to post them as well.
So, here are the things you need to look out for this month:
House Group on Tuesday Nights at 7:15pm
At House Group we take some extended time to fellowship and study the Bible together. Here is a schedule of the topics we will cover over the next month.

The Lord’s Supper on June 18th

1 Corinthians 11:27-29 27 Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. 29 For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.
Church Meeting--Monday the 26th of June at 7:15pm
We'll be discussing a number of issues related to City of Peace at our quarterly (or something like that) church meeting. Your input is valued and needed, so please join us at the Cafe.
Jazz Night
Mark your calendars for next month. City of Peace will host a jazz night at Café Forever. The event will be held on the 25th of July at 7:30pm.
